Yes. Premium cables can take up to 500 hours of use to achieve their final sound. This process is a natural part of the adaptation to the system.

When will the sound return after a test replacement?

After moving, it takes at least 2–3 hours, but sometimes up to 2–3 days for the conductor and dielectric to readjust. A-B-A type tests are not relevant for us.

What warranty applies to cables?

We provide a lifetime warranty on all our products, provided that they are in the possession of the original owner, are in good condition, and come with a warranty card and certificate of authenticity.

I bought a used Shepherd's Design audio cable. Does the lifetime warranty apply to me too?

No, the lifetime warranty is only available to the original purchaser. Unless the original owner returns the product to us for inspection and possible repair before repurchase. (For a fee)

If I have a 2 m long analog XLR cable, is it possible to make two 1 m cables out of it?

No! Subsequent "cutting" is not possible with our cables. We use a technique that makes it impossible to cut the cables afterwards for several reasons, and it is also more cost-effective to make a new, shorter version. (This applies to all our cables.)

I would like to move up within the brand. Is that possible?

Of course. We offer the option of crediting products purchased directly from us (provided that, after inspection, we determine that the product is in perfect condition in its original packaging, with all original documentation).
